Electronics Lab Technician

E-Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper-scaled deployments of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. You will be a part of the Semiconductor Development Engineering team and will help Lab management work in bring-up of prototypes and hands-on measurements at bench stations. You will also be responsible for maintaining part of the electronic lab with required equipment and supplies. We are looking for an experienced EE technician with excellent Lab management skills, test instrument calibration coordination with vendors, hands-on tool and bench setup assembly, board rework, and facility maintenance.  This position is based in our Saratoga, CA office.


What you will do:
  • Board rework (i.e. attach/remove components and add fly-wire for routing by solder)
  • Support DUT replacement at test setup for screening or characterization
  • Bench setup and tear down
  • Assist engineers for test instrument calibration with vendors
  • New incoming/outgoing board screening with software and test instruments
  • Plan and maintain lab facilities for optimal efficiency


What you bring to this role:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in small engineering labs
  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, related field, or relevant experience
  • Excellent debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of analog/digital circuits
  • Passion, diligence, integrity, and an exceptional aptitude
  • Team player with excellent conversational and written communication, and negotiation skills


Bonus points:
  • Satellite, aerospace, or related industry experience
  • Hardware testing and validation for silicon IPs
  • HW testing and validation with oscilloscope and power measurement equipment
  • Ability to work with schematics and PCB layouts
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python


This is a full time, non-exempt position, based out of our Saratoga office.  The target base pay for this position is $35- $45/hour.  The total compensation packaged will be determined by various factors such as your relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. 

 

We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used—so we’re looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit activities. If that’s your experience – then we’ll be immediately wow-ed.
