Dedicated to creating cohesive and innovative design solutions, we focus on evolving our product and brand experience to achieve higher levels of consistency and innovation for our current and future eBay customers.Evo is eBay’s product design system. It is a catalyst to synthesize previous design systems into a unified eBay experience across all platforms. This system modernizes the eBay experience, while thoughtfully retaining what is most familiar to customers.We are seeking a highly skilled full stack Systems Designer to join our Design Systems team at eBay, where you will play a pivotal role in crafting and evolving the design system and visual language that powers the eBay experience. Your expertise in visual design, interaction design, and systems design will be instrumental in ensuring our design systems are not only scalable, accessible, and maintainable but also aesthetically exceptional and functionally superior.As a master of design craft, you will infuse beauty and functionality into our design guidelines, patterns, and libraries, making them a cornerstone for intuitive and delightful experiences across all eBay platforms. Your work will ensure that our design systems are used effectively, with new components and patterns that set the standard for experience design. Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers, you will ensure that our design systems meet and exceed the expectations of eBay customers.This individual should be enthusiastic about pushing creative boundaries to shape our design language and enhance eBay as a magical, memorable and scalable shopping destination for enthusiasts.This role reports to the Head of Design Systems in the Core Product Organization.What you will accomplish:• Develop and refine eBay's design system by integrating visual design, interaction design, and systems thinking to create intuitive, user-friendly design guidelines, patterns, and libraries that enhance product efficiency and aesthetic appeal.• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of the design system across all eBay products, while also incorporating feedback and research to iterate and improve the system.• Prototype and deliver high-fidelity visuals that demonstrate the design system's capabilities, ensuring components and templates are adaptable to various eBay experiences and maintain a high standard of design excellence.• Mentor fellow designers on the strategic use of the design system and stay abreast of industry trends to continuously evolve the system, ensuring it meets the needs of eBay customers and aligns with the latest design innovations.What you will bring:• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of professional experience in Product Design, Interaction Design, or a related field, with a focus on design systems.• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and work effectively with cross-functional teams.• Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects independently and as part of a team.• Experience with agile/scrum methodologies and a collaborative, iterative design process.• Familiarity with front-end development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to inform design decisions and collaborate with engineering teams effectively.#LI-hybridThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.$135,200 - $205,700Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
