Editorial Lead - Global Hits - job 2 of 2

The Global Music Curation & Discovery Team is looking for an Editorial Lead - Global Hits to join our team! 

What you'll do

• Curate and maintain global hits playlists across Spotify’s ecosystem
• Creatively direct social media and marketing campaigns for playlist brand extensions
• Leverage expertise in global pop audience to lead and guide marketing and partnerships campaigns in order to drive playlist and content brand growth
• Professionally represent editorial strategy, editorial rationale and decisions to Spotify’s external partners and internal collaborators
• Manage global cross-functional execution of the editorial strategy for popular, globally relevant new releases
• Utilize editorial voice to support our new product tests to build an outstanding user experience

Who you are

• 7+ years minimum experience in music programming/curation, or in an audience-focused role - required
• 7+ years experience professionally representing strategy and campaigns in an external-facing capacity within the music industry
• Strong understanding of the global music market, pop music and popular culture
• Experience crafting and developing editorial and programming strategy
• Passionate about current and past music trends across the globe
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to draft and apply solutions-oriented strategies to manage multiple stakeholders
• You have an exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Adept at drawing informative conclusions, recommendations and strategies from analytics and data sets
• A strong understanding of, and experience with, Spotify as a user and fan.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel when needed
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

• This role is located in Los Angeles, California

The United States base range for this position is $112,952 - $161,360, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave.
