Education Records Specialists provide administrative, records, reporting, and other support for the Faculty Affairs and Development Department. This position is full time. Office working hours are 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday – Friday with occasional nights or weekends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Proofread and edit faculty documentation for education compliance
  • Process records within a complex integrated database
  • Create and/or maintain faculty credentials and transcripts
  • Review records for accuracy, completeness, determine acceptability of documents, analyze request based on complex criteria
  • Create job descriptions and hiring templates within an Applicant Tracking System
  • Update and maintain organizational Department documents
  • Apply knowledge of policies, procedures, and departmental functions

  • Maintains strict confidentiality of company and personnel information
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:
The minimum degree requirement is a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, human resources, English, communications, or education. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two years of related experience.

Skills:
  • Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with Apple computers and software (Pages, Keynote, etc)
  • Ability to write and speak effectively
  • Strong organizational, time management, and proofreading skills
  • Superior attention to detail is essential
Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:
Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to; bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
