Being an OSHC educator holds a lot of flexibility to prioritise study or family needs, and at the Y, you might just discover a family of your own – we have a supportive on the ground and at head office.
What being an OSHC Educator Entails
OSHC educators care for children before school, after school and during school holiday periods. Highlights include running fascinating, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children – such as science experiments, outdoor games and painting.

YMCA Warrigal Road Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is located on Yuggera land in Eight Mile Plains and is part of a multi-cultural and linguistically diverse school community.
We are located in the School Hall and offer an exciting range of indoor and outdoor activities, and our children and educators love being outside amongst the large trees and outdoor play spaces in the school. We are licensed for 120 children and offer Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care between the hours of 6:30am and 6pm.
We provide a healthy and delicious vegetarian menu that reflects our families and makes our children feel at home.
Our service philosophy prioritises community and belonging, children’s agency and the importance of spontaneous, multi-age play in middle childhood. We offer a range of planned and spontaneous play experiences for children and welcome educators with unique skill sets to share with children.
The YMCA is the fastest growing OSHC provider in the South East with over 45 services, which in turn provides our staff with the ability to grow and move through the company as their careers head to the next level.
