Financial Analyst

Overview:

EKN Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Financial Analyst. In this role, you will work closely with our internal stakeholders to analyze financial data, develop insights, and provide strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct financial analysis including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of financial models, reports, and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Analyze industry trends, market data, and competitive landscapes to support business decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, identify key performance indicators, and track project milestones.
• Support project managers and senior consultants in executing consulting engagements, including conducting research, gathering requirements, and facilitating client meetings.
• Participate in meetings with clients to understand their business needs, gather requirements, and present findings and recommendations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies relevant to the utility and technology sectors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and perform quantitative analysis.
• Highly adept in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Prior internship or work experience in finance, consulting, or related fields is a plus but not required.
• Strong ability to build/analyze complex financial models.
