As a member of the Elastic Corporate Events team, you'll work in an environment that values collaboration, innovation, and diverse perspectives. In this role, you will assist in planning and executing events, from sponsorship of third-party industry conferences to Elastic's annual user conference, ElasticON. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include working closely with senior event managers, product marketing managers and our internal design agency to track progress on event deliverables including goals, content, and promotion, and coordinate all event logistics. You will utilize exceptional project management skills to manage pre-event planning, team communications, execution and post-event follow-up, ensuring all stakeholders are working together to deliver a high-quality event. The ideal candidate will have an interest in marketing, demand generation, digital advertising and general technology as this role requires you to first be a marketer to distribute Elastic's message and... brand awareness. Responsibilities:
Lead and assist with the planning, production and execution of third-party industry tradeshows and Elastic proprietary customers events hosted both in North America and globally. Understand the complex needs of different events, and diverse stakeholders. Expertly drive pre-event weekly meetings, including assistance and preparation of event planning presentations. Plan all aspects of small customer events, responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
pre-event discovery and planning, event flow, design and messaging, speaker session content, client meeting coordination, event promotion, printing and shipping, budget management, related travel arrangements, staffing, social media scheduling and reporting, post-event survey and reporting, etc. Serve as an assistant to the senior event managers on large strategic events, responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
pre-event discovery and planning, event promotion, printing and shipping, budget management, related travel arrangements, staffing, social media scheduling and reporting, post-event survey and reporting, etc. Lead onsite presence which could include ensuring proper set-up and signage, registration coordination and troubleshooting, AV testing, speaker and meeting management, staff enablement and training, collateral and swag distribution, problem-solving and managing take-down. Anticipate and plan for possible different scenarios Manage event calendar, project timelines, and event budget. Build and distribute regular pre-event status reports and post-event trip report. Work closely with marketing, sales, product teams, PR, upper management, and field evangelists to achieve business goals via event marketing. Strong communication skills including conflict management and the ability to present event ideas and plans to stakeholders and leadership. Commitment to the mission, vision, cultural values, and expectations of Elastic Availability to travel up to 50% (dependent on the COVID pandemic) and work occasional nights and weekends to support events. Qualifications:
2-4 years of relevant work experience in event marketing. Experience in marketing B2B technology products or services preferred. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or relevant field of study. Demonstrated success in event management and project management. A willingness to travel and ability to work independently and autonomously. Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail. Preferred
