Job Description
Purchases a high volume and variety of materials, supplies and services. Evaluates bids, selects and recommends suppliers and negotiations price, delivery, quality and service. Follows up on all awards until completion of order. Negotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over shipments, cancellations and engineering changes. Conducts supplier site visits and rates them as to production capability, performance and delivery.

At Elbit Systems of America, we are seeking a Buyer II to join our dynamic team in Fort Worth, TX. In this vital role, you will be responsible for purchasing a high volume and diverse array of materials, supplies, and services essential to our operations. You will evaluate bids, select suppliers, and negotiate to ensure the best price, quality, and service are attained. Your expertise will be crucial in following up on orders until they reach completion, and you'll manage negotiations with suppliers regarding any discrepancies such as damage claims and cancellations. A key part of your role will involve conducting supplier site visits to assess their production capabilities and performance. As a Buyer II, you will also create Requests for Proposals to support our programs, specifically meeting the needs of both US Government and commercial clients. Your ability to manage and guide the Purchasing Department will ensure our projects have the necessary resources to thrive. To excel in this position, you’ll need a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience. Our ideal candidate possesses a thorough understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation System and procurement ethics.
