About Electric Air

Electric Air is a tech-enabled HVAC contractor and venture-backed technology startup that makes the heat pump buying and installation process more accessible and more affordable for homeowners. Heat pumps are a crucial enabler in the transition to clean, renewable electricity. They electrify the most significant load in the home while improving comfort and saving homeowners money. You’ll be joining a team founded by engineers with a deep background in thermal systems, energy systems and aerospace.

WHO YOU ARE

• Hard-working, team oriented, cooperative, ambitious, adaptable, and great at problem-solving

• 5+ years software engineering experience, ideally in a small team where you have taken full ownership for projects and taken products from 0-1 and 1-10.

• You care about the problems our customers face and are excited to distill their insights into tangible product improvements.

• You are excited to move and grow fast, take ownership and challenge yourself in ways that are hard to replicate at other places.

THE ROLE

• Build full stack web applications that are both internal and customer facing

• Functioning as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders within engineering, sales, and customers, dedicated to overcoming technical deployment challenges and enhancing overall performance.

• Coordinating with cross functional teams to streamline operational processes

• You'll also be helping to shape an exceptional engineering culture at Electric Air and cultivate practices that will set us up for success.

OUR CURRENT TECH STACK

• React in Typescript with Relay, GraphQL

• Django + Postgres

• Docker compose for dev, Render.com for staging / prod.

• React Native for mobile development
