Electrical Field Engineer - Entry level role

Job title: Electrical Field Engineer / Estimator (Onsite) – Entry level role

Responsibilities:

• Completes design functions and calculations based on information and redlines quality control (i.e., cable pulling, voltage drop, flicker, utilizing station sheets, etc.).
• Inputs pole loading information in SPIDA/O’calc software based on information and provides possible resolution to structure. Collecting data as necessary for the design task.
• Prepares joint pole authorizations based on information and redline from Planner.
• All aspects of Distribution design covered, Substation, road widenings, joint use, overhead to underground conversions, Heavy underground duct bank design. PLS pole/PLSCadd, and Transmission line work.
• Prepares scaled work order maps using computer aided design software (CAD) such as Autodesk Utility Design (AUD) and Design Manager (DM), AutoCAD Map3d.

Preferred Skills:

• Should be able to understand Distribution design covered, Substation, road widenings, joint use, overhead to underground conversions, Heavy underground duct bank design. PLS pole/PLSCadd, and Transmission line work.
