Essential Job Requirements

Perform basic preventative maintenance and calibration on all equipment
-
Working knowledge and experience interfacing with and diagnosis of AB & GE PLC's, HMI, and Servo Systems.

Basic troubleshooting, testing and repair of electrical systems, using required equipment including 70E tools, PPE and Safe Work procedures
-
Experience working with PLCs preferred.
-
Good mechanical aptitude desired.
-
Knowledge of SAP Maintenance module would be a plus.

Follow safe practices while working with 24VDC, 120 VAC and 480 VAC systems
-
Support automation control systems
-
Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and controls systems along with a general understanding of material handling practices

Complete all necessary documentation
-
Operate in accordance with Job Safety Analysis, hazard awareness, emergency procedures and high voltage training
-
Proper use of Lock Out Tag Out
-
Tap 3 phase electrical motor leads, install a 3-phase motor and locate general wiring
Education and/or Experience
-
Intermediate electrical and analytical aptitude
- A two-year post high school diploma/certificate in electro-mechanical technology (or similar associate/technical degree preferred)

Basic understanding of blueprints and schematics

Basic understanding of high voltage equipment, machinery controls, microprocessor equipment, thermocouples and RTDs

Able to obtain MSHA certification

Able to use shop equipment, including but not limited to, a multimeter, ammeter and megger
Physical Requirements

Able to lift and maneuver up to 70 pounds

Wear safety attire or protective gear daily, including respirators when needed

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, reach, stoop and kneel

Manufacturing facility - Some dust and noise.

Heat Treatment areas (Kilns & Ovens).
