Location: Sandersville, GA
Purpose: Electrical and instrumentation repair and calibration of critical Calcine controls and production equipment.
Duties:
1. Troubleshoots process equipment.
2. Knowledge of Allen Bradley ControlLogix 5000 & PLC-5 family processors.
3. Familiar with Stratus Server / ThinManager Client operator interface, RSView 32/SE HMI.
4. Calibrate process equipment and instrumentation such as Micromotion mass flow meters, Thayer Weighbelts, Control Valves with Fischer actuators and digital valve controllers, density meters, thermocouples, RTD’s, etc.
5. Troubleshoot process equipment and instrumentation.
6. Troubleshoot lab equipment.
7. Install electrical and instrumentation equipment in compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and
Mine Safety and Health Act Regulations (MSHA) procedures. Follow all NFPA 70E/Imerys ARC Flash Procedures.
8. Acts as electrical coach and electrical planner.
9. Wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), follows prescribed procedures and maintains clean and safe work area.
10. Performs other duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor or designee.
Responsibilities:

Measurements Performed/Tools & Gauges: Resistance/ohmmeter,megger; voltage/voltmeter; amperage/amp meter; Instrument calibrations/Emerson Trex Communicator; temperature/thermocouple; temperature/resistive temperature device(rtd); millivolt, milli-amp, a.c.volts, d.c.volts/ac/dc multi-meter.
Machines & Equipment Involved: All process and lab equipment including Electrical Motors, Motor Control Centers,
Switchgear and breakers, Transformers, Allen Bradley programmable logic controllers (ControlLogix 5000 and PLC-5), Stratus
Server / ThinManager Client, RSView32 HMI Operators interface, electronic and pneumatic instrumentation, hardwired controls, hydralift, manlift, forklift and truck.
Working Conditions: Day and evening shift job requiring some overtime. Works mostly in plant environment. Duties split between indoor and outdoor work causing exposure to seasonal temperature variations. Requires climbing to heights of 175 feet and on slippery surfaces. Exposed to chemicals, dust, fumes, allergens, noise and radiation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Able to read, write, and do math (including algebra, trigonometry and geometry needed for electrical calculations) at the high school or equivalent level.
Experience - (Preferred Background): Two years industrial electrical trade school or equivalent experience with 4 years of on the job training. Qualified trainer will teach electrical operating procedures and work instructions.
Skills Requirement: Able to: understand written and verbal instructions and listen attentively; understand and use PLC's and vendor systems; read and understand autocad drawings, blueprints, designs and operation of complex production systems; clearly describe conditions orally and in writing; analyze and resolve minor process problems; set-up, manipulate and tend equipment and or machinery; drive motorized vehicles; have valid drivers license.
Required Activities: Climbing, lifting, finger dexterity, close and tedious hand and finger movement in hazardous locations.
