At Ello, our mission is to maximize the potential of all children. Our first product is an AI-powered reading coach that listens and engages with children as they read out loud from books. Founded by a team of experts in education, childhood development, and artificial intelligence, Ello is scaling the impact of 1:1 teaching using AI, starting with learning how to read. Together, we believe we can close literacy and educational gaps around the world.
About the role
We are building a team of passionate and dynamic Community Engagement Ambassadors to champion Ello throughout the Washington, D.C. region. This team, consisting of 2-3 Ambassadors, will work closely with our Chief Experience Officer to promote awareness of our innovative reading app. This role requires creativity, hustle, and engaging communication to promote Ello at family-friendly events across D.C. this summer. We are looking for outgoing, self-driven individuals who thrive on building connections and initiating meaningful conversations with both parents and children.

Key Responsibilities:
Devise creative strategies to promote Ello’s reading app at community events across D.C.
Engage families and children through hundreds of conversations and demonstrations
Foster meaningful relationships with community partners and leaders
Provide feedback and insights from community interactions to support marketing and product development
Qualifications
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Strong marketing and promotional instincts
Availability to work during evening and weekend events
Experience in event planning, promotion, and community engagement is highly desirable
Proficiency with social media platforms is a plus, though we are also hiring for a dedicated Social Media Coordinator
