Email Marketing Manager
The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for the timely and accurate processing and deployment of email requests on behalf of both external and internal clients. This role supports email campaign requests across multiple business units, including sales, marketing, events, editorial, consumer revenue, research, etc. This role manages one contractor who sets up and deploys promotional email campaigns.
Responsibilities
Monitor and manage the work of one contractor who will share the workload
Assist media solutions department with campaign booking, securing, and scheduling
Educate about request intake process, requirements, and lead times
Determine, uphold, and communicate reasonable campaign turnaround times
Enforce design, compliance, cost, and turnaround time requirements
Build email campaigns in preexisting templates
QA email campaigns for clarity, grammar, spelling, link functionality and inbox display
Have a strong attention to detail down to the pixel level of accuracy
Manage the email deployment process and monitor for successful delivery
Communicate status updates to the email campaign requester during the email setup and deployment process (test status, approvals, blockers)
Report and analyze campaign performance metrics and advise on campaign strategy
Manage email campaign calendar and billing to ensure timely and accurate processing
Skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
2+ years of email marketing experience
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced working environment
Proficiency with Google documents & spreadsheets (or Excel/Word)
Strong analytical skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Experience using marketing automation or email marketing tools (Sailthru) is a plus
Intermediate working knowledge of HTML code is a plus
Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional team
The expected base salary range for this position is from $70,000 - $80,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
