Production Planner

Based in our Chanhassen, MN location, you will support the development of a daily production build schedule that meets the company's safety, quality, delivery and inventory objectives.In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:- Uses discretion to respond to safety situations within the office and production floor environment.- Supports company quality policy to achieve company objectives:- Responds timely, understands the impact and works to minimize the negative impact of quality redlights, production, and shipping holds- Begins to lead production line recovery teams by managing material streams for raw components, subassemblies, and finished goods- Uses independent judgment commensurate with experience to support assigned production line:- Reviews and ensures accuracy of the daily production signal to the manufacturing floor in order to meet the company's service level objectives:- Resolves production issues in a timely fashion- Monitors material availability and communicates as appropriate to procurement and production- Analyzes delays and interruptions, and recommends adjustments to the production schedule to meet deadlines- Communicates production delays with internal customer (Master Scheduling)- May coordinate daily meetings for product group/production line- Participates in global calls as needed- Analyzes and responds to service level & inventory metrics and provides recommendations for continuous improvements- Begins to lead New Product Development (NPD), Discontinuance and Rosemount Transfer Process (RTP) Programs for P&IC checklist responsibilities- Reviews and approves Engineering Change Orders (ECO). Ensure bill of material (BOM) and assembly part numbers are set up or obsoleted accurately in business system.- Supports business system upgrades, patches and site migrations using global standards. May be responsible for manufacturing test requirements.- Begins to participate in cross-functional project improvements. May participate in Kaizen events and lean process improvementsWho You Are:You prepare content for communication that is impactful.
