(only open to candidates currently located in the United States and able to work without sponsorship.)No sponsorship opportunity at this time.General SummaryThe BI Analyst will collaborate with colleagues across BI and the rest of Data & Analytics team andpartners with other teams across the company to identify opportunities and decisions that will benefit from data-driven insights. The BI Analyst will perform analyses, extract insights, make recommendations and design intuitive dashboards and reports to deliver those insights.This person will leverage the latest developments in business analytics methods including data visualization, statistical analysis, and pattern recognition for this growing workers' compensation insurance industry.Essential Duties And Responsibilities• Develop fundamental understanding of core business processes and decisions and looks for opportunities to leverage data-driven insights to enable better, faster decision-making in the workers' compensation insurance industry.• Design and prototype visually intuitive dashboards and reports leveraging of human-centered design best practices while ensuring that insights-related requirements are satisfied.• Design end-to-end business intelligence solutions (identify relevant data, assure data is accessible and of sufficient quality, develop innovative means of viewing and analyzing data).• Support moderately complex projects/products and drives less complicated projects from ideation to delivery in an Agile manner with an emphasis on deliverables that create measurable value.Provides clear, concise communication of progress against project plans to management and relevant stakeholders.• Collaborate with other members of the data and analytics team to expand the department’s reach and facilitate the accomplishment of its strategic goals for the workers' compensation insurance industry.• Works on special projects for the department as assigned.Job Requirements• 2+ years’ experience in business intelligence, analytics, finance, or consulting• Has experience in the workers' compensation and/or insurance industry• Comfortable drawing conclusions and making decisions with incomplete or ambiguous information• Demonstrated proficiency with business analytics tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, or Cognos• Demonstrated ability in data communication and/or visual design, including dashboarding.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint.• Ability to work independently, with appropriate levels of supervision• Superior time management skills, able to multi-task and focus on multiple priorities• Ability to learn on the fly and grasp new concepts quicklyPreferred• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, or other quantitative field.• Insurance industry experience• Experience working with integrated development environments (IDE), such as DatabricksAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the requirements listed above.Work Environment• Remote: This role is remote, and only open to candidates currently located in the United States and able to work without sponsorship.• It requires a suitable space that provides a private and quiet workplace.• Expected Work Hours: Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.• Travel: May be required to travel to off-site location(s) to attend meetings, as necessarySalary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 and comprehensive benefits package, please follow the link to our benefits page for details!  https://www.employers.com/careers/our-benefits-and-perks/About EMPLOYERSAs a dynamic, fast-growing provider of workers' compensation insurance and services, we are seeking a goal-oriented individual willing to put their ideas to work!We offer a positive, challenging work environment, combined with an opportunity to build your career as you help us grow our business, in innovative and imaginative ways that are uniquely EMPLOYERS®!Headquartered in Nevada, EMPLOYERS attributes its long-standing success to its most valuable resource, our employees across the United States.
