Energy Recovery Inc. is seeking an Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Intern to join our growing team. You will help support our FP&A team in budgeting, forecasting, and KPI analysis. This role is based out of our San Leandro office and reports to the FP&A Manager. The ideal applicant will possess strong knowledge of finance/accounting fundamentals and a positive attitude, with a strong initiative to learn, and ability to work effectively as a member of a team.

• Helping drive company-wide initiatives by partnering with business stakeholders
• Helping standardize financial reporting across multiple departments
• Assisting in automating internal reporting
• Assisting in summarizing results and reporting key variances
• Assisting in preparation of reports, models and forecasts
• Assisting in budgeting and forecasting
• Assisting with monthly/quarterly financial closing and reporting
• All other duties & projects as assigned.

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, IT of Finance
• Must be highly motivated, with a focus on accuracy, and ability to prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines
• Must possess good analytical, written and verbal communication skills
• Must be proficient in Excel (pivots, lookups, etc)
• Must be willing to learn and start from the ground up
