Engineer - Development Program

What You'll Be Doing

:
Gain experience while you work! This project is a three year commitment. During the course of the three years you will be required to work out of all three client locations: Long Beach, CA, Pasadena, TX and Gonzales, LA. These openings start at either one of these locations or the closest Hargrove office and then you will be reassigned to
another location and so forth. Travel, lodging, meals covered while off-site. Partner with Sr Engineers and gain valuable work related experience, and get paid.

This position is generally responsible for executing a wide variety of small and medium projects. Excellent communication and leadership skills along with a broad knowledge of engineering disciplines are required when dealing with a project load that spans multiple sites. Candidates must be open to relocation across the U.S. after the initial rotation.

Primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Lead assigned capital projects (standalone projects and projects within plant outages) and manage all engineering, design, and construction resources.
  • Develop estimates, funding documents, schedule, and ongoing forecasts for plant executed projects
  • Ensure all projects receive adequate process hazard reviews and ORI’s and that all recommendations are completed in a timely manner
  • Provide field supervision / support during projects execution
  • Manage Project Safety
  • Maintain projects on budget and schedule
  • Ensure all projects meet the operability needs of the customer
  • Conduct Safety Kickoff Meeting with contractors and operations team prior to start of project execution
  • Confirm contractor is aware of and follows all Safety Standards. Clearly communicate safety goals. Report incidents immediately.
  • Complete short-term contractor BSP forms daily during execution of project
  • Complete JSA reviews & participate in the Safe Work Permit issuance process with the operations team daily during the project
  • Lead daily morning safety / toolbox meetings with all crafts
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
Below is the range that we in good faith believe is the potential compensation for this role at the time of this posting and is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Hargrove’s total compensation package for Teammates. Actual compensation will be based on education, experience, skill set and location.

Minimum Salary: $67,000.00 annual
Maximum Salary: $94,000.00 annual

Ideal Background

:
Education: This position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.

Experience:
This is an entry level engineer development program oportunity and requires no experience.
