Engineering Analyst (Hybrid)

*At Securian Financial the internal title is Engineering Analyst, Engineering Sr Analyst, or Engineering Consultant. The title and salary will be determined based on experience and applied skills.*

Summary

The Engineering Analyst will:

Devise technical solutions to drive business outcomes based on an understanding of customers, business processes and technical requirements.
Perform Engineering Tasks in a diverse technology environment including: design, code, configure, test, implement, and support quality software solutions, systems architecture, application security and application infrastructure.
Continuously improve and develop internal software and configures packaged applications by assessing business needs to develop solutions that enhance business capabilities.

Qualifications

Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within a job discipline
Performs routine assignments using existing procedures
Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles
Entry level to a professional career progression

If you’re in a commutable distance (90 minutes) you’ll join us 2-3 days each week in our offices to collaborate and build relationships. Our policy allows flexibility for the reality of business and personal schedules. When working in our offices at least two days per week isn’t feasible (vacations, illness, travel, etc.), an eight day per month standard is an option.

Physical Job Requirements

Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
Ability to perform grasping tasks 2-4 hours per day (examples: handwriting, grasping of equipment/machines, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, handling stacks of paper)
