About the Team The Core-Infra Team at Eightfold moves fast, solves challenging engineering problems and provides value to our customers. You will design and build Eightfold AI infrastructure at cloud scale. This team ensures our systems are incredibly performant, highly available, reliable, secure and scalable. Some of the areas that this team will make an impact are: Machine Learning Infrastructure Search Infrastructure Application Scalability/Performance Security Infrastructure Database Infrastructure Testing Infrastructure Release Infrastructure Microservices Framework Eightfold being a SaaS provider, our customers care deeply about security. You will be the main expert/decision maker around everything related to Infra and Security. What you will do You will design, build, ship and maintain the infrastructure that is at the core of Eightfold. Work closely with ML, Search, Platform and Product teams . Collaborate with peers across Engineering to triage bugs and troubleshoot complex production issues across the stack, especially with respect to performance or scale. Whiteboard a fix to a reliability problem — and then make it happen! Write, review, or provide feedback on a technical design proposal What you bring to the table BS or MS or PhD in Computer Science is preferred equivalent experience. Possess strong Computer Science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, operating system, distributed systems, and information retrieval. Been designing, building, and shipping large scale distributed systems at scale. Have experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform and other DevOps tooling. Have experience deploying and operating services in a Cloud environment. Familiarity with Python/Golang/Java/C++ Experience with containers/Docker, and with cloud infrastructure like AWS/GCP/Azure Desire to work at a startup pace in a small company with a high degree of ownership Experience solving for performance, optimization, scalability, latency, and monitoring Can jump into situations with few guardrails and make things better. Write code that can be easily understood by others with an eye towards clarity and maintainability. You are a very strong communicator. You're excited to explain complex technical concepts and share your knowledge with different audiences. Strong motivation, gumption, and technically curious. Have an appetite for execution. We also offer a 401k plan, stock options, and unlimited paid time off for all eligible employees. The information below is provided for candidates hired in California location. In California, the standard base pay range for this role is USD $222,000 - $346,000 annually. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for equity awards, benefits and bonuses. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and geographic location within the state.
