Engineering Manager (All Levels), 3D Reconstruction

Building robust VIO/SLAM algorithms and 3D contextual scene understanding using Computer Vision and Deep Learning that enables interactive, consumer-grade AR experiences for capturing and interacting with 3D property data is a core part of our technology and our future. We are looking for engineering leaders with a passion for pushing the limits of 3D reconstruction technologies with an eye for clean and scalable system design and with past experience in building and optimizing complex cross-platform systems running advanced deep learning and computer vision algorithms on smartphones.

You will be working with Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Mobile and DevOps engineers and UX designers to advance our core 3D Reconstruction technologies and build consumer grade products with consumer - grade AR experiences.

You Will Contribute By:

• Leading a team of computer vision / machine learning scientists and engineers working on building core technologies in the areas of 3D Reconstruction, VIO/SLAM and Scene Understanding; and build consumer products with consumer - grade AR/VR experiences
• Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of algorithms and systems for robust visual inertial tracking and SLAM under challenging situations, geometric computer vision, sensor fusion, 3D scene understanding and consumer-grade AR experiences
• Looking ahead and collaboratively crafting a vision and roadmap for your team, inspiring your team around that vision and driving towards realizing that vision
• Hiring, mentoring and growing the team to be the best versions of themselves
• Providing technical leadership and guidance to your team and the broader organization

Your Background Includes:

• Demonstrated experience with engineering management and technical leadership for teams researching and productizing computer vision and deep learning
• Outstanding communicator with a high level of emotional intelligence, capable of influencing the organization with new technologies / product ideas and bringing out the best from your team
• Substantial experience developing and shipping algorithms for SLAM and/or Visual (Inertial) Odometry
• Deep theoretical understanding and practical experience developing novel algorithms for some of the following topics:
• Creative problem solving skills and excellent software development skills
• Comfortable writing production grade software in C++
• Highly competitive and passionate about solving hard technical problems
• Have an entrepreneurial mindset and be able to thrive amidst ambiguity & uncertainty

Nice to haves:

• PhD related to SLAM/ VIO /3D Reconstruction
• Strong track record of research in related areas including but not limited to VIO, SLAM, 3D Reconstruction or Deep Learning (preferring candidates with publications in top-tier venues such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV)
• Visual tracking in featureless scenarios, under rapid motion, etc
• VIO/SLAM exploiting geometric regularities of urban scenes

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with Colorado law, the base salary for this role if filled within the Denver Metropolitan area is $163,000-$220,000.
