The Role
Lark is seeking a talented Engineering Manager to join our growing team. In this role you will lead a team of developers to build a world-class next-generation data platform architecture to help Lark deliver data products at scale. Ensure the team is positioned to deliver on product and project goals by coordinating with the product managers.
What You’ll Do
Lead a team of developers to build a world-class microservices architecture
Coordinate the team’s efforts in core development using the agile methodology
Work closely with leadership to plan and manage a sustainable release cycles
Manage a team responsible for the core backend services for Lark, which include our user accounts, SSO, and PII management
Coordinate project plans with Product Managers and Technical Program Managers
Build a culture of engineering best practices, with an emphasis on automated testing (testing pyramid) and code quality
Mentor, develop, and recruit team members
What You’ll Need
Experience building and leading a team of engineers
Scala, Python, and Java experiences are required
Prior experience with Databricks, Snowflake, AWS/GCP, Hadoop/Spark/Big data, Lambda/Kappa/delta architectures, Flink, Airflow, Druid, and Kafka
Experience with microservice architecture
Experience with cloud technologies, AWS is a plus
Experience with both SQL and NoSQL technologies, DynamoDB is a plus
Experience with test-driven development
Knowledge of modern data-engineering best practices
A dedication to code and data reliability and quality
Working at Lark
Lark offers the option to work remotely in the United States. For Colorado Applicants only: the minimum annual salary is $181,000 (minimum salary varies for other geographies). You may also be offered a bonus, stock options and benefits. The company is headquartered in Mountain View, CA.
