Your Role:
The Engineering Operations Manager role is based out of Breinigsville, PA and is responsible for providing resources and technical support for new product and sustaining engineering projects. This manager is an integral part of the Delivery Systems and Services (DS&S) business, delivering specialty gas and liquid delivery equipment to a global base. This leader will manage engineering staff and have oversight of budgets, project management plans and workload forecasting. This role also manages the lab space and office space of this location. The role coordinates lab and site activities, budget, and overall coordination.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Drive safety and quality practices in engineering work and lab environment
- Develop and maintain a strong technical knowledge of our product and customer requirements.
- Develop and execute resource plans against workload forecast in conjunction with Product Engineering and Product Management teams.
- Utilize both internal resources and contractors to best fit strategic needs of projects and customers
- Manage and evaluate electrical, controls and software engineers, along with technicians and component test lab personnel.
- Develop and maintain processes and tools for to enable efficient technical problem solving and resource management
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering, Electrical/Controls engineering or related technical discipline
- 8+ years professional experience in an engineering role including 5+ years in team leadership
- OR
- 12+ years relevant professional experience including 5+ years in team leadership
- Up to 20% travel domestic and international
Preferred Qualifications:
- Operations or engineering experience in equipment manufacturing or operation in the semiconductor industry
- Strong leadership skills with ability to work in dynamic environment and communicate across many levels and functions
- Experience in development of technical teams to meet business needs
- Experience in budget development and execution
