With our rapid growth, our team is ready to welcome an experienced and driven person to join our commercial operations team to manage and oversee the successful planning and installation of large-scale commercial projects. The Engineering Project Manager will efficiently coordinate solar installations from the sales handoff to utility completion and beyond. The ideal candidate is someone with a construction background (electrical, solar installation, or HVAC), can efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously, and has strong customer service skills. The candidate must also show a strong sense of teamwork, as our company relies on working together to accomplish goals.
**This position will be based out of our Lincoln, NE office**

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee projects ranging in size from 25-1,000 kW, from the sales handoff to completion, by working with local municipalities and utilities.
  • Coordinate and review the digital design of a commercial solar PV system
  • Work with Sales Team members and customers to secure a project timeline
  • Work with the Engineering Team to ensure production of accurate system designs and permitting/utility documentation
  • Schedule installation crews according to production timelines
  • Manage status checks and achieve necessary milestones required for the projects in your pipeline
  • Maintain project documentation
  • Oversee procurement of materials
  • Enforce the values of the company on each job site and ensure accuracy and professionalism is maintained
  • Follow company Standard Operating Procedures, rules, and OSHA safety requirements
  • Manage relationships with customers and vendors as necessary
  • Communicate with company leadership on the status of projects
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and new technology

EDUCATION:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • BS/BA degree, with an emphasis in construction, or a combination of equivalent education and/or experience is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
  • 0-2 years of construction experience
COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
  • Project management or construction management experience (strongly preferred)
  • Permitting experience
  • Procurement experience
  • Knowledge of basic electrical design, theory, and concepts
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, to organize and prioritize workloads, and to keep several projects progressing to completion with little or no direction.
  • Ability to weigh options, foresee consequences, and employ good judgment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and ownership in all assignments
  • Ability to collaborate closely with other team members on a wide variety of projects.
  • Prepares timely and accurate paperwork.

Pay range for this role is $50,000-$80,000 annually, depending on experience.
