Job Summary :Codes and abstracts outpatient medical records for the purpose of reimbursement, research and compliance with Federal and State Regulations according to ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 / HCPCS coding methodologies for diagnoses and procedures.Department : Health InformationLocation : Englewood Health, Englewood NJ.Status : Full TimeShift : DaysHours : 8 : 00am - 4 : 00pmJob Essentials :• Codes ED, ambulatory surgery, infusion, and observation records accurately according to coding principles and guidelines.• Consults with physicians when clarification is needed.• Abstracts statistical data.• Enters data on PC.• Completes charge entry sheets for ED patients as applicable.Education Requirements :• RHIT, RHIA or CCS required with previous coding experience.
