Job Description

This position partners with the Mortgage Lending Management Team to manage mortgage Loan Origination Systems (LOS), mortgage loan Point of Sale systems (POS), associated applications, and reporting functions. They are responsible to utilize all available resources to remain proficient and knowledgeable on Mortgage Lending associated technologies. Provide direction to Information Technology staff in order to provide a bridge between credit union functions and Mortgage Lending functions. Act as a resource to all credit union management to source data, build complex reports, test calculations, and program application interfaces. This position will develop plans for system improvements, organize resources to ensure maximum automation for efficiency, and manage technology vendor relationships to ensure highest and most consistent performance of current systems. Finally, the Technical Analyst will maintain responsibility to monitor security of information to prevent conflicting functions that expose the credit union to privacy concerns, risk of losses, or compliance violations.

Essential Functions at the Technical Analyst- Mortgage Lending Junior level:

  • Utilize a help desk ticket tracking system to prioritize, monitor, document progress on projects/critical issues, and provide reports for later analysis. Complete entry level tickets as assigned including but not limited to new hire onboarding system access, termination of mortgage system permissions and password resets. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
  • Assist with various recurring projects to include Disaster Recovery responsibilities, control of system and data security, and partnering with internal peers to ensure compliance. This includes semi-annual user audits for all mortgage systems. Assist with coordinating implementation and testing of mortgage system releases, upgrades and service packs.
  • Provide technical analysis and maintain overall compliance/security of information and assets, direct IT partners, technology vendors, and project teams in conjunction with management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with technology vendors, industry peers, and credit union management in order to manage technology projects, resources, data, security, and operations. This may include research, testing and implementation of new/emerging software.
  • Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Ent policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

  • Provide technical analysis and maintain overall compliance/security of information and assets, direct IT partners, technology vendors, and project teams in conjunction with management. 

  • Utilize a help desk ticket tracking system to prioritize, monitor, document progress on projects/critical issues, and provide reports for later analysis.

  • Directs various recurring projects to include Disaster Recovery responsibilities, control of system and data security, and partnering with Credit/Compliance Administrator to ensure compliance.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with technology vendors, industry peers, and credit union management in order to manage technology projects, resources, data, security, and operations.  This may include research, testing and implementation of new/emerging software.

Qualifications

Minimum Formal Qualifications at the Technical Analyst- Mortgage Lending Junior level:

  • Associate's Degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field.
  • 1+ years' combined mortgage loan servicing, mortgage loan processing/closing, and/or systems administration / technical experience relevant to mortgage lending systems (required).

Minimum Formal Qualifications at the Technical Analyst- Mortgage Lending level:

  • Associate's Degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field.
  • 2+ years’ combined mortgage loan servicing, mortgage loan processing/closing, and/or systems administration / technical experience relevant to mortgage lending systems (required) to include:
  • 1+ years must be directly related to systems administration / technical experience relevant to mortgage lending systems (required)


Each year of relevant work experience may be exchanged for a year in a relevant degree program or vice versa. For example, a requirement of a bachelor's degree in accounting and 2+ years of account experience could be substituted for a high school diploma and 6 years of relevant accounting work experience or a master's degree in accounting and 0 years of work experience.

Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to develop system electronic data interfaces for the transmission of data to relevant vendors or internal systems.
  • Basic technical acumen in relational database design / business intelligence concepts for use in custom report design through Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access, and reporting systems inherent to the lending platforms being used.
  • Data management and analysis skills using various import/export/storage/processing systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Real Estate Lending business - terminology and process flow.
  • A solid understanding of basic user/group security principles and practices.
  • Ability to prioritize/manage assigned projects and allocate pre-approved resources.
  • Strong coordinating and networking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical, technical problem solving, and mathematical ability.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills to include Excel (including advanced function/formula & pivot table abilities), Word, and Outlook. Data analysis using Microsoft Access is a plus.
  • (preferred) Experience administrating Encompass, FICS Mortgage Servicer and/or related programs.

Additional Information

The pay range at the Technical Analyst- Mortgage Lending Junior level is: $22.02 to $28.90 per Hour (S13)

The pay range at the Technical Analyst- Mortgage Lending level is: $26.45 to $33.42 per Hour (S14)

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, and internal pay equity.

This position is eligible for our corporate bonus program based on company performance.
