This includes maintaining financial models, assisting with the development of regulatory strategies, identifying key risks and opportunities to achieving targeted results, analyzing actual results compared to projections and preparing presentations or other packages used to communicate the current financial position to key stakeholders. These activities support the Company’s on-going planning process as well as major initiatives. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of utility regulatory constructs, strong analytical skills and embraces continuous improvement efforts.Job Duties/Responsibilities• Financial Planning : Responsible for financial and regulatory planning models; understands and can communicate key planning assumptions; reviews actuals and provides variance explanations compared to projections monthly; prepares reporting packages and analysis for key stakeholders.• Regulatory Strategy : Analyzes historical and forecasted results to develop strategies that enable Entergy Operating Companies to earn their allowed ROE; performs ad hoc analyses to support strategy development, including possibility of new cost recovery mechanisms, and decision-making; and provides analytical support and research for major utility initiatives.• Creates financial models to evaluate scenarios and communicates recommended path forward• Supports continuous improvement in the monthly process, systems and models. Documents process and best practices.• Communicates with other departments to gather information about Entergy’s businesses and transactions.
