Position is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with the ability to work additional hours as project needs demand.

Incumbent should be located within the Arvest 4 State Footprint (AR, KS, MO, OK). Remote work options may be available outside of the 4-state footprint upon further review during the interview process.

Job Title: Enterprise Data Scientist

An Enterprise Data Scientist at Arvest designs and develops advanced analytical and statistical algorithms to analyze complex data sets. They gain insights that drive business outcomes, improve customer experiences, and enhance organizational operations and decision-making processes. They ensure the accuracy, quality, and integrity of the data and communicate their findings to stakeholders. An Enterprise Data Scientist has a significant impact, helping the organization make better decisions, reduce costs, and manage risk.

What You’ll Do at Arvest: (Other duties may be assigned.)

• Synthesize large volumes of information and extract signals from data in an efficient, structured, methodical, and programmatic way to support business goals.

• Communicate results and insights to executive leadership.

• Analyze user/customer behavior and usage patterns to identify opportunities to transform digital customer experience, loyalty, and acquisition.

• Code, test and maintain scientific models and algorithms; identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies in data; and determine additional data needed to support insight.

• Solve complex problems and help stakeholders make data-driven decisions by leveraging quantitative methods and presenting recommendations.

• Create project plans and delivery timelines to help the team achieve defined project goals within timeline, communicate status and escalate issues as needed.

• Provides peer review and mentoring to other decision scientists.

  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Toolbox for Success:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Operations Research, in a related field, or equivalent relevant work or military experience.

• 5 years of combined experience in statistical programming language; structured query language and relational databases.

• 3 years analyzing customer data.

• 2 years of data cleansing, data integration, data mining, statistical, analytical, and visualization tools/techniques.

• 2 years informational intensive industries experience.

• Mastery in SQL, Python and/or R.

• Broad range of experience:

  • In end-to-end model development and deployment lifecycle including good design documentation, testing and source code control (git)
  • With cloud environments including Google Cloud(preferred), AWS or Azure etc.
  • Applying data science, and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems

• An understanding of data analytics and AI/ML development within an agile framework.

• Ability to independently understand the business problem, translate it into data science problem and come up with a solution that can be implemented by the business.

• Demonstrated ability and desire to learn and continually expand skill sets.

• Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.

Travel:

The associate must be able to travel occasionally by themselves within the US, including overnight, and via automobile and air.
