Enterprise Project Manager, Workforce Transformation

Summary of Position:

The Enterprise Project Manager, Workforce Transformation is responsible for managing assigned projects across UMA Education, Inc. in support of the organization’s strategic vision. The Enterprise Project Manager, Workforce Transformation plans, executes, and monitors projects to ensure deliverables are kept on track, are within budget, and remain in scope. The Enterprise Project Manager, Workforce Transformation will also work cross-functionally on project implementation to ensure the project is successful, including with the full Workforce Transformation Division, the Program Management Office within IT, and more.

The Enterprise Project Manager, Workforce Transformation reports to the Sr. Director, Planning and Support.


UMA is a nonprofit healthcare educational institution with a national presence. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida and founded in 1994, UMA offers content-rich, interactive online programs as well as hands-on training at our Clearwater, Florida campus.

  • Anticipated starting salary of $70,000; pay rate negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Functional:
  • Work with stakeholders to define requirements and scope for all projects.
  • Remain accountable for key deliverables for the project and assist with resource planning and allocation.
  • Monitor, track, and report project milestones, status, risk, and more to key stakeholders.
  • Provide clear and proactive communication to key stakeholders on project progress and any barriers that need to be removed to remain on time, in scope, and within budget.
  • Provide support to assigned stakeholders for enterprise-wide projects and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Maintain project plans and documentation within the Enterprise Project Management Office of the Workforce of Transformation Division.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Director, Planning and Support or Vice President, Office of Transformation.

Support Institutional Initiatives:
  • Keep current on institutional goals, objectives, and progress towards the strategic vision.
  • Engage in institutional sponsored activities and initiatives as appropriate.
  • Lead with courage in support of change initiatives that impact the organization.
  • Manage and assist in coordinating efforts between departments within UMA.
Compliance:
  • Demonstrates knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the Department of Education, accrediting agencies, CIE, and internal UMA policies and procedures.
  • Effectively communicates compliance requirements to students and other staff as appropriate and quickly escalates any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.

Work Experience, Skills & Abilities:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 years of project management experience with a focus on enterprise initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to interface cross-functionally
  • Able to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meticulously manage a high-volume of responsibility with professionalism and optimism
  • Experience utilizing project management tools such as MS Project, Daptiv, EasyProject, Monday.com, or more
  • Advanced proficiencies MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams and Skype
  • Ability to learn and implement new technologies and adapt processes for continual improvement
  • Able to support a diverse and inclusive work environment
Preferred Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Project Management or Business Administration
  • 5 years of project management experience managing enterprise initiatives
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Working Environment:
  • Home Office
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Physical Demands
  • Requires long periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer
  • Requires occasional bending, stooping and squatting
  • Requires occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
