Job Description
AECOM is seeking an _Entry-Level Ecologist_ to be based in our Cincinnati, OH or Pittsburgh, PA offices. This position will support our Environmental Planning and Permitting (EPP) team.
_This position is expected to begin June/July 2023._
Job Overview:
The Entry-Level Ecologist should have a background in environmental and regulatory compliance to support environmental projects. The position will provide many challenges, an opportunity to work with multiple industrial clients, and an opportunity to gain experience in multiple environmental consulting disciplines. This person will be responsible for executing project tasks for industrial and commercial clients under the direction and mentorship of senior technical staff. Projects may include air permitting, annual report preparation, emission calculations, field work for site investigation and remediation.

_The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to: _
+ Executing all work safely and in a professional manner;
+ Preparing calculations, reports, permit applications, compliance plans, and other technical documents;
+ Supporting industrial site investigation and remediation projects; and
+ Complying with the AECOM quality management system
+ Utilizes basic scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.
+ Collects and enters data, and applies technical principles and theories.
+ Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
+ Entry-level position; may not require previous experience
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Biology, or related
+ Valid U.S. Driver's license.
+ Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications :
+ Ability to travel overnight
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
+ GIS experience
Additional Information
+ Travel is required for this position. Candidates will be asked to submit to a Motor Vehicle Record screening upon hire.
+ Relocation is not offered for this position.
+ Sponsorship is not available for this position.
+ This is an in-office position. Candidates are expected to reside in the Cincinnati/Pittsburg areas or relocate if necessary.
