JOB SUMMARY:
As an Entry-Level Hydrographer you would work with a team to collect and process marine hydrographic survey data. You would assist in the integration and maintenance of hydrographic survey systems. Field work will include travel for 4-6 weeks at a time (for potentially up to 6 months per year). Travel may consist of time on board survey vessels as part of a 3-12 member survey crew working offshore of the Continental U.S. for generally 2 week durations, or onboard smaller near-shore vessels conducting daytime operations. Data processing of hydrographic data will take place on board survey vessels, in shore-based temporary offices, or at the Newport, RI Leidos facility.
