Environment Artist - Ridgeline Games
Ridgeline Games is focused on building rich narrative campaigns with memorable characters and powerful experiences all in the Battlefield universe. We are building a new studio in the Seattle area composed of leaders and talent with a vast array of AAA game dev experience. As we assemble our diverse team, all who have a voice in making great games together, we're looking for a healthy mixture of tempered veterans and young passionate individuals eager to make a difference.
Role Overview: You are a practical, experienced, Environment Artist who will help us build worlds and contribute to our production techniques, maintain budgets and always focus on the highest quality execution. You are an expert in PBR material production, enthusiastic about photogrammetry and enjoy world and prop building.
Reporting to the Lead Environment Artist, you will use reference photography and concept art as your inspiration and enjoy building beautiful, photorealistic worlds.
Responsibilities:
- You understand modeling, texturing, composition, color theory, design and lighting that we can see exercised in your portfolio – both in shipped game projects and in personal work.
- Knowledge of at least one industry standard modeling package, a sculpting package and a PBR compliant texturing package.
- You can 3D model, texture and implement to a high standard inside of a game engine. This includes packing textures to specification and using and maintaining shared libraries.
- The ability to write documentation where required and attend stand-ups, respond to feedback and communicate with peers.
- Experience working with an Art lead or directly with an Art Director to refine visual and quality goals.
- Have experience with cross discipline collaboration and are able to address challenges.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Environment Artist
- Photogrammetry production experience
- Hard surface modeling
- Techniques for photorealism
- Experience with daily scrums and task management systems.

US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
- California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $95,450 - $141,800
- New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $89,200 - $141,800
º $105,250 - $141,800
- Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $89,200 - $118,550
- Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $89,200 - $130,750
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
