The Duckhorn Portfolio is North America's premier luxury wine company, and we have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Environmental Health, Safety & Risk (EHS&R) Coordinator to join the team! We are looking for an independent, self-starter, who enjoys using their creative ability to design and institute new engaging safety initiatives. You are detail-oriented and business-minded and enjoy building relationships and can communicate with ease across all levels. You will assist the Safety Director with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs and maintenance of environmental compliance across the business. You will have the unique opportunity to routinely visit and work closely with team members in our winemaking facilities, tasting rooms, offices, and vineyards to see the passion and inner workings that go into making our luxury wine.
What we will ask you to do:
- Support the development and oversight of EHS programs and processes required by federal, state, and local regulations across our production facilities, tasting rooms, offices, sales organization, and beyond.
- Assist in developing engaging safety materials and communication strategies to foster a strong safety culture across the company.
- Perform facility walkthroughs to ensure risk controls are in place and work collaboratively with local teams to continuously find opportunities for injury/illness prevention.
- Assist with onboarding and coordination of EHS training of new hires, and new training topics for current employees.
- Manage EHS document control and software systems to create effective metrics surrounding incidents, hazard remediation, and training.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees on general workplace health and safety needs and promote and foster EHS awareness throughout the company.
What you will need:
- 1-3 years’ experience in a support-focused role; with past responsibility for Environmental, Health, and Safety preferred.
- Proficiency in PC skills including Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new software platforms.
- Service-oriented personality and a passion for safety.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingual in Spanish a plus!
