Job Description
MISSION:
TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC (“TERUSA”) has strong ambitions for the development of solar Utility-scale Power Plants with public and private offtakers, and in the development of energy storage worldwide. The US is a key market to achieve this strategy, and the ambition is to establish in this area a sizable UPP portfolio.
ACTIVITIES:
The candidate will be supporting environmental assessment and permitting for TERUSA’s onshore renewables portfolio in the US. They will work in close coordination with the Director Environmental Permitting as well as other team members within TERUSA.
The Environmental Permitting Associate will also be responsible for the following:

Review buildable area constraints with development and engineering teams, including EPC bids packages.

Conduct site-specific impact assessments.

Assist with site visits, Environmental Impact Assessment inspections.

Communicate Environmental Impact Assessment needs to development and construction teams.

Assist coordination with consultants on field studies (RFPs, scope, timing, access).

Review consultant reports and assess impact to projects.

Support agency consultations, review requirements and coordinate stakeholders.

Reforestation mitigation and biodiversity actions (e.g., find local nurseries with plant material).

Act as a clearinghouse for environmental-related questions from internal and external stakeholders for financing and acquisitions.
Context and environment
The Environmental Permitting Associate will act according to TOTAL policies and compliance values.
HSE&Q:
Employee will comply with all applicable TotalEnergies, U.S. Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSE&Q) requirements and supporting standards. Such duties include being familiar with and setting a personal example in adherence to the TotalEnergies HSE MAESTRO Management System; taking responsibility for their own safety and that of fellow workers; reporting any anomaly, near miss, or incident; and actively participating in HSE Meetings, HSE & Sustainability Moments, training sessions and drills.
