EPIC Accounting Intern

About This Opportunity:

InComm EPIC (Education Partnership at InComm) interns join the workforce as integral team member with a job to do. The program is an extension of the classroom learning environment. The InComm Internship Program seeks to partner with colleges and universities to enhance the education of students through providing relevant field experience prior to graduation. You will interact with multiple departments to gain a broad perspective on how their job supports the overall business goals of the enterprise.

The InComm EPIC Intern Program provides mentoring, training, and employment to undergraduate and graduate students from the local Atlanta academic community. We are seeking a student pursing a degree in Accounting or Finance to join our team performing as a data entry specialist.

InComm offers our interns:

Paid Internship + 20 Hour Work Week + Flexible Schedule Monday-Friday to balance school + Hands on career learning experience

Responsibilities:

Process daily, mail in redemption requests received from 2 step awards in our MIR tool. This will include opening the mail and sorting along with working with another team member for the QA process.
Record customer 2 step awards returned in the mail in the proprietary system of record weekly. This includes sorting the awards by client program, recording them in a spreadsheet, sending new address requests to program coordinators and either sending out with new address or returning the award in the system of record.
Process replacement order requests for gift cards not received in the mail from the customer service team.
Prepare weekly check deposits received in the mail.

Qualifications:

Students entering their Junior year through graduate school are eligible – pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance
Student works a flexible schedule with a minimum of 20 hours per week year round
2.75 GPA and above
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Analytical and reconciliation skills
PC skills, with knowledge of Excel
Ability to manage assigned tasks and perform well under pressure in a high-volume and changing environment
Ability to problem solve
Comfortable working both as an individual and on a team with the ability to maintain a positive attitude in an fast-paced environment
High energy self-starter with the ability to take initiative with minimal guidance
