The Senior Human Resources Business Partner for EPIC Brokers will use their outstanding people skills to lead, plan and direct our talent policies, activities, and HR team to ensure that our human resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives and talent strategy.
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner works with a team that drives employee engagement and a culture where all employees can thrive by developing and supporting programs targeted throughout the employee lifecycle. This includes but is not limited robust onboarding and off-boarding processes, employee training and development to support career advancement, and authentic effective feedback processes to support coaching and counseling.
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner will help support the business by developing relationships with leadership across the organization, forecasting staffing needs, designing accountability mechanisms, helping to manage out poor, and develop high potential performers, devising programs that help retain talent, strengthens relations between staff and leadership, consults on compensation matters and mitigates conflict.
The role is designated as a hybrid role and will work 2-3 days in office in Alpharetta, GA and the rest remotely.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to lead HR Projects and initiatives of firm wide impact
- Drive HR programs across their populations
- Responsible for monitoring, briefing leadership and responding to any workplace issue; compliance need; trend, etc.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems Ensures compliance with laws and regulations
- Develops new job descriptions and amends existing as needed
- Ability to partner with Centers of Excellence by driving completion of varying projects and tasks throughout their population.
- Proactively drives projects, initiatives and can critically think about their business needs to provide guidance and support
- Critically identify areas of opportunity within the business, diagnosis issues and provide strategic solutions to resolve.
- Monitors the health of the business and talent using a variety of KPIs and present relevant data to business leaders
- May participate in the planning effort within business segments to ensure an adequate number of associates are trained to accomplish business objectives
- Administers performance evaluation program and revises as necessary
- Assures wage administration policies are equitable and appropriate within the guidelines of corporate budget, marketplace considerations and job analysis
- Provides advice and guidance on employee relations’ issues, progressive discipline, and documentation requirements to management
- Ability to manage from start to end an employee relations case while providing fair guidance in confidential situations
- Ensures appropriate human resource systems are in place to select, train, reward and motivate staff
- Works with leadership to develop and monitor the organization’s culture and devises programs that help to support and drive appropriately
- Promote positive employee relationships through communication and interpretation of HR Policies
- Support employee base by fielding day-to-day general HR questions
- Educate and support management on employee relations and employee performance issues
- Assist in the preparation and documentation of HR related policies

EDUCATION AND/OR PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Masters Degree in Human Resources, HR Management or related discipline preferred, Bachelor’s Degree required
- SHRM- SCP, SPHR and other HR related professional certifications preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of HR experience managing the Human Resource Function
- Workforce development and culture alignment and integration experience
- Excellent employee issue resolution skills and conflict management skills desired
- Ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with senior leaders from all functional backgrounds
- Strong leadership and consulting skills with the ability to build trust, respect, and cooperation
- Relationship management, coaching, collaboration skills a must
- Performance management skills; recognition and reward for good performance providing constructive criticism and taking corrective action for poor performance
