Duties

The position's purpose is to provide guidance and advice to the Adjutant General, senior commanders and managers on statutory requirements relating to the entire EEO program. The SEEM is the principal point of contact (POC) with the National Guard Bureau's Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (NGB-DEI) and the local district office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

Manages the Equal Employment Opportunity Program within the state. Responsible for advising senior management on the administration of laws, policies, and regulations designed to provide equal opportunity and diversity management for the workforce in the state. Serves employees in a wide variety of occupations including professional, administrative, technical, clerical, and blue collar. The employees are covered by a variety of employment programs, (i.e. dual status and non dual status Federal Technicians, Active Guard - Reserve (AGR), and Traditional Guard members).

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least 1 year equivalent experience to at least GS-9 in this occupational field.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTE: If you don't have at least 1 year equivalent to a GS-09 in this career field, do you have 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree?
