Research Software Engineer (Sr/Staff)

Equilibrium Energy is a Series B clean energy startup looking for a Senior Research Software Engineer to build software tools for simulating utility-scale battery operations as part of their mission to reshape the energy industry.

Skills

Production software engineering experience
Knowledge of Python, C++, Julia
Familiarity with software development best practices
Experience in machine learning and optimization
Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain features for a utility-scale battery simulation platform
Create a platform for visualizing and inspecting battery simulation results
Serve as a subject matter expert on simulation run mechanics
Build tools for time series data ingestion and processing
Assist in product development strategy and planning
Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and product managers

Education

BA/BS/Master's degree in quantitative discipline
