The Senior Manager of PR & Communications will drive an effective communications plan - both internally and externally at SoulCycle. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this person will manage the following disciplines:
Public Relations: manage communication efforts that drive brand reputation and impression on riders, press and lifestyle / fitness and business communities.
Corporate Communications: craft communications that align with company strategy and create positive internal and external brand perception.
Internal Communications: manages the sharing of Company information with employees as it pertains to the brand.
Key Responsibilities
Media Relations and Briefings:
Oversee the creation of press materials, including press releases, media kits, and executive briefing documents
Work with marketing to craft compelling narratives and outbound media stories that align with our brand strategy and goals
Develop, manage, and leverage relationships with key media outlets, journalists, celebrities, and high-impact celebrities in the luxury, fitness, and lifestyle sectors.
Develop key metrics to measure the effectiveness and provide regular reports
Instructor Talent / Influencer Strategy:
Collaborate with Talent Management team to elevate instructor personalities within the fitness and lifestyle industry
Identify, engage, and manage relationships with high-impact influencers and thought leaders in the fitness and lifestyle sectors, working alongside the social media manager
Collaborate with social and marketing teams to identify talent and influencer opportunities within broader marketing campaigns
Executive Elevation:
Support executive leadership in elevating their profiles through thought leadership opportunities, speaking engagements, and media interviews.
Develop key messaging and talking points for executive spokespersons to effectively communicate SoulCycle's mission and values.
Provide counsel to executive profiles, including message development, drafting presentations and remarks, conducting media and presentation training and editing press releases
Represent SoulCycle at tradeshows gatherings to build brand visibility and network with key stakeholders.
Management:
Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, Legal, Partnerships and other key functions to execute corporate and cultural initiatives (press releases, presentations) and produce events.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in public relations, with a focus on luxury brands or lifestyle sectors.
Deep network of strong media relationships across media and influencers to leverage and tell our story in a compelling way.
Experience in working in high-growth mode working environments. Must exhibit entrepreneurial spirit, pivot power, prioritization, project management, hands-on development and flawless delivery of programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Deep understanding of social media platforms and influencer engagement.
Compensation: $110K- $120K
