Product Engineer II - Mission

Overview

Join the ArcGIS Mission team and help us deliver a quality application assisting organizations in the daily management of ordinary and critical missions.   We are looking for skilled product engineers who are passionate about developing customer-driven products that help our customers succeed.  You will actively collaborate with the development team, other product engineers, and designers to help ensure that we implement a product that fits all of a customer’s needs.  

ArcGIS Mission is a command-and-control solution that helps keep organizations synchronized across their operational areas, leveraging the powerful ArcGIS system and its resources to manage missions from start to finish.  As a member of our team, you will work with other Product Engineers, Software Developers, and designers to help define and drive development and enhancements of the ArcGIS Mission Server product. 

Responsibilities

  • Have a level of knowledge of server front-end and back-end operations
  • Work with users and industry experts to identify user requirements
  • Work with top software engineers to envision, design, build, test, release, and support a highly functional mobile application
  • Collaborate with other product engineers on the other systems that comprise ArcGIS Mission
  • Play a major part in the development process by determining product quality and release readiness
  • Grow your skillset in an environment that rewards professional development

Requirements

  • 2+ year of experience with CoT XML, JSON, nodeJS, and REST services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and tasks as needed in a fast-paced work environment
  • Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, GIS, data science, network science, mathematics, or related field

Recommended Qualifications

  • Master’s in computer science, engineering, GIS, data science, network science, mathematics, or related field
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS and online services, or other GIS products
  • Experience with the intelligence community, military intelligence, or law enforcement
  • Experience with intelligence workflows
  • Experience writing technical documents for a variety of audiences
  • US citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret clearance with SCI access

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$74,984$128,544 USD
