Job Description: As an Estimator in the glazing industry, you will play a pivotal role in accurately assessing project costs and providing detailed estimates for potential clients. Your expertise will help us streamline our bidding process and contribute to the overall success of our projects. You will collaborate closely with our sales team, project managers, and clients to ensure accurate and competitive pricing, while adhering to project timelines and budget constraints.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project specifications, architectural drawings, and other relevant documents to determine project requirements.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, taking into consideration materials, labor, equipment, and any additional costs associated with the project.
• Collaborate with the sales team to review bid opportunities and understand client expectations.
• Consult with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify project details and address any technical or cost-related concerns.
• Research and source materials, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and availability.
• Create comprehensive and detailed project prposals, including cost breakdowns and timelines.
• Present estimates and proposals to clients and address any inquiries or modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, pricing data, and project-related information.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure a smooth transition from the estimating phase to project execution.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as an estimator in the glazing industry or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of glazing systems, materials, and installation processes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to accurately calculate material quantities, labor costs, and project timelines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
