Texas Children’s Hospital is committed to increasing access to behavioral health care for all young people, including our community's most underserved and marginalizedchildren and families. Children who experience adversity are at higher risk for trauma, stress, and related mental health concerns and often experience significant barriers to accessing mental health care, such as limited transportation, lack of insurance, low income, and mental health stigma. Our goal is to grow our existing Mobile Behavioral Health Program (MBHU) to allow these children and families to receive high-quality, comprehensive, and confidential behavioral health care where they live and when needed: in schools and other community locations.
