Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing organization. 

Responsibilities

• Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Assists in generating monthly billing statements and invoices based on the general ledger.
• High volume check & ACH processing.
• Maintains and updates customer files, including name, email or address changes.
• Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
• Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
• Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the AR Manager and other staff.
• Collaborates with the AR Manager to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic (at least bimonthly) basis.
• Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
• Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Strong skills using Microsoft Office Suite
• 2 years of A/R or relevant experience
• Experience using Yardi a PLUS
