Job Description

  • Perform immunoassay development, optimization and/or validation
  • Develop immunoassays on multiple platforms (traditional ELISA, Mesoscale, Luminex, SMCxPro, etc.)
  • Operate automation equipment
  • Protein labeling and purification
  • Support cell stimulation and extracellular vesicle isolation workflows
  • Maintain accurate e-notebooks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with performing in vitro laboratory techniques including use of automation equipment
  • Expertise with quantitative Sandwich Immunoassays using multiple platforms (Mesoscale, SMCxPro, Luminex, traditional ELISA assays)
  • Independent thinking with the ability to innovate from the bench and efficiently collaborate with other team members within one’s own reporting line as well as the project team
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Self-starter, able to prioritize work and work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Expertise with Excel for data management and analysis
  • Working knowledge of data analysis tools like GraphPad, Softmax Pro etc.
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail are essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to produce effective, trusting work and develop and maintain customer relationships

 

Basic Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
  • 3-5 years of laboratory experience (quantification focus)
  • Ability to work in a BSL-2 Laboratory

  • Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Kalamazoo, MI are encouraged to apply.
