Description
The Associate Consultant position reports on a line-management basis to the Consulting Manager. The Associate Consultant’s primary function is to successfully manage and execute custom projects for clients in different industries, as well as collaborate with other areas on a case-by-case base.
Key responsibilities:
Is expected from an Associate Consultant to Plan, Execute and Deliver ad-hoc research projects and syndicated research. Main tasks expected to be conducted throughout each project execution:
1. Planning & Project Set-up:
o The planning of projects including development of briefs, Word and Excel templates, PPT outlines and other supporting materials necessary for meeting all project objectives.
o Conducting preliminary research into new project areas in order to develop more useful project documents.
2. Primary and Secondary Research:
o Conduct thorough, detailed desk research across multiple ad-hoc studies to gain a thorough understanding of project objectives with the goal of better informing the client and the research team.
o Conduct interviews with trade associations, leading companies and internal Euromonitor associates to gain insights into specific custom research objectives.
o Utilize in-house resources and external published information to more clearly understands the markets and companies under review.
o Share new resources with colleagues and seek out new sources of information.
3. Project Execution:
o The day-to-day line management of any contract analysts (as relevant and applicable) including regular communication via videocalls and email, establishing schedules and administering final payments.
o Work closely with the Research Operations Team to ensure that projects are adequately resourced and that the pool and quality of contract analysts matches project volume and complexity.
o Continued upkeep of all folders and materials associated with current projects to ensure that all information is easily accessible to other relevant Euromonitor personnel.
o A full review and/or production of all generated materials via querying, validation and final interpretation of data and analysis to fully meet client objectives.
o Liaising with colleagues in other regional offices to ensure that all project team members have a clear understanding of goals, objectives, and timelines.
o Delivering timely, thorough analysis that meets client objectives.
4. Client Communication
o Client communication and engagement from project inception through project completion, ensuring that all core objectives are met and client satisfaction is achieved.
o Presenting findings via videocalls and/or in-person to clients to ensure that all client objectives have been met.
o Understanding, maintaining, and developing the relationship between Euromonitor and any research client.
Requirements
· Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish, both in written and verbally
· Advanced Excel and Power Point skills
· Bachelor’s Degree is a must; MBA or Masters degree are a plus
· Excellent analytical skills
· High level of numeracy
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Knowledge of consumer market trends and dynamics and experience with client interactions are a welcome plus
