Events & Partnerships Manager

We are expanding our Growth Team and are looking to hire an experienced Events & Partnerships Manager to help build and expand Propeller’s network of key influencers and partners to drive strategic business goals. This person will work closely with our Director of Partnerships and our Director of Marketing to manage our existing portfolio of ecosystem partners to drive mutually beneficial outcomes and lead coordination across internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute events and marketing initiatives.  

This is a great role for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, and own execution of our strategic events and ecosystem partnerships strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with Director of Partnerships in making sure that we effectively collaborate and engage with existing partners to support our internal teams and clients
  • Manage partnership execution, including capabilities assessment, collaboration opportunities, engagement tracking, and cross-team communications
  • Assist the team in our efforts to expand our network of partners to support our growth and increase our impact with new and existing clients
  • Work with the Head of Marketing and Head of Partnerships to create an event strategy that aligns with our company goals while tracking and measuring ROI throughout the year
  • Partner with Marketing & Partnerships, as well as Practice Area Leads to define goals and topics of speaking engagements and ensure necessary content and collateral are provided
  • Lead event planning process and execution for any custom Propeller and/or Partner events
  • Vet sponsorship proposals and negotiate event contracts 
  • Manage sponsorship activation process to optimize our ROI, including pre, during, and post event
  • Manage and improve partner and event success tracking, measurement, and reporting
  • Track expenses and ROI to the annual events budget 
  • Partner with the Marketing and People team on internal event coordination as needed
  • Maintain our Partner Database with up-to-date information on existing partnerships

Qualifications & Capabilities:

  • 3-5 years experience in event marketing, partnership program management, or adjacent roles
  • Previous experience working in fast-paced environments and a proven track record of being able to quickly adapt and pivot due to unexpected changes in set plans
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with senior executives (internal and external)
  • Detail-oriented and organized - you love making order from chaos and take great pleasure in helping others tie up loose ends
  • You live by deadlines and are a master communicator - you can keep yourself organized and deliver on time
  • Tried-and-true partner and collaborator who exhibits a knack for working cross-functionally
  • You’re a master of putting together project plans and managing multiple work streams
  • Familiarity with the startup/entrepreneurship world is a plus
