The Opportunity:
The College of Nursing is hiring for an Events Assistant to assist with coordinating activities and events hosted by the College for both internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Event Manager, Dean's Office, and the advancement and marketing team with special events; including but not limited to Recognition Ceremonies, White Coat Ceremonies, Career Fairs, Alumni Reunions, Scholarship Luncheon and Faculty and Staff lunches, events and activities.
  • Assist with event planning, coordination, set up, oversight and breakdown.
  • Research, identify, and contact vendors on and off campus to obtain bids for the event’s needs.
  • Assist with maintaining, organizing and updating promotional item inventory system, event registrations, event announcements and communications, and mailings.
  • Categorize, organize and maintain event materials, products, and promotional items.
  • Assists with administrative tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 0+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 to 2 years of event planning experience.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry and strong customer service skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Flexible schedule, willing to work early mornings, evenings, some nights, and weekends.
