We’re looking for a talented and dedicated Global Events Manager or Specialist to support a team member out on maternity leave. This role is for someone who thrives on actively working on strategic projects, is highly organized and enthusiastic, and wants to grow their career in the event planning space. You will be coordinating and managing the important behind-the-scenes details while learning about our events business. The interim manager will be working on various types of events such as trade shows, hosted events, user conferences, meetups, and internal sales conferences. This exciting and high-visibility position requires superior attention to detail, stellar organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines while juggling multiple requests.

This role will report to the Global Events Manager. The job location is flexible within the United States as this role can be remote, in-office (Santa Clara office), or hybrid. This is a temporary position for six-eight months to provide leave coverage.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing an integrated plan for sponsorship & attendance for the assigned events, which can include internal kickoff & check-in meetings with the team, all logistics for assigned events including booth and overall onsite experience, staffing, on-site logistics, and internal alignment on goals and support pre- and post-event campaigns with DG team owning
  • Responsible for 4-6 events a month, including trade shows/summits, dinners, internal training, customer user groups
  • Use all martech & other company tools to manage all events including Salesforce, Splash, Monday, Google Drive & Confluence.
  • Good understanding of how to use Salesforce for marketing campaign management
  • Rallying cross-functional resources, such as the sales team, to drive interest in and registrations for an event
  • Supporting the creative team on various elements of event design and experience
  • Partnering with cross-functional resources to plan and execute pre- and post-event campaigns
  • Ensuring event logistics, services, and shipping are handled on time and within budget
  • Overseeing that leads and follow-up are done in a timely manner with the Demand Gen and Sales teams
  • Managing various aspects of the event with outside vendors, including but not limited to overall theme and production, food and beverage, setup, budgeting, speaker recruitment, registration, and post-event follow up
  • Processing invoices; tracking event expenses
  • Coordinating and executing on-site event support for facility setup, AV, and catering requirements
  • Assisting with ordering and managing swag via Loop & Tie website.

About You:

  • Travel is required for several events (about 30-40%), including traveling outside the United States. A passport is required for travel outside the U.S.
  • Four or more years of event coordination/planning experience in a corporate environment for external events -or- hospitality management experience
  • Knowledge of the meeting and events space
  • Can showcase impeccable organization, working with many people and departments, and well under tight deadlines.

Pay Range: Annual Base Salary

  • California - $74k to $100k
  • Colorado - $60k to $81k
  • New York - $69k to $94k
