Provides event services for all college departments, setting up furnishings and equipment for various, scheduled college activities and functions; conducts various types of departmental and office moves.
Anticipated Salary Range: $17.00 to $18.06 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Perform set up of furnishings and equipment for all campus events, social functions, and conferences; and maintain same in good repair.
- Serve as consultant to venue Mangers and venue Hosts regarding the correct types and amounts of equipment/furniture required for an event whether during normal operating hours or after hours.
- Assist with logistical requirements for New Student Orientation (NSO), registration, Homecoming, Commencement, and other highly visible campus events and social functions.
- Work closely with the Food Service catering staff to provide proper equipment/hosting critical furniture at all events.
- Work with campus Event Scheduling software; receiving any support services needed for scheduled events.
- Organize, assigning, and complete work orders for departments; work closely with Work Order Specialist to keep accurate data.
- Represent the Events Coordinator during absences.
- Pick-up, set-up, and return rental equipment as needed.
- Move, deliver, assemble, and store office furniture and equipment as needed.
- Assist in obtaining parts and supplies for Facilities Services shops and College departments.
- Maintain standards of performance that reflect a high degree of pride, teamwork, professionalism, and customer service.

Required Qualifications:
High school graduate (or equivalent); ability to work flexible hours, early morning, evening, and weekends as needed; good interpersonal skills including strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to plan, prioritize, and organize multiple tasks in a team environment; ability to think creatively and solve problems; excellent customer service skills; ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds; ability to perform professional moving of materials without damage or injury; knowledge of basic computer operations. Must be in good physical condition; comfortable moving in a fast pace environment, able to exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, in excess of 60 pounds of force frequently lifting and moving objects; frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouching; occasional climbing of ladders and scaffolds; frequent carrying of loads up and down stairs; works in all weather conditions and in very dusty, noisy conditions. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and a driving record that is insurable by Colorado Colleges motor vehicle insurance carrier.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in event set-up activities and material handling.
