The EverCommerce People Team is growing. As our Sr. Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for full payroll cycle for our employees using Workday and additional global payroll systems. In addition to processing our payroll, this position will monitor hourly employees’ time entry, answer employee questions about payroll and taxes, and work with finance on GL and reporting needs.

You:
You have solid payroll experience as well as a strong commitment to taking care of your internal customers. You have an in depth understand full cycle payroll, FLSA regulations, Federal, state, and local taxes, and will push yourself to be an expert so that you can fully support your teammates and customers. In this role, you will:
  • Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll for all global employees (400 employees)
  • Audit time entry by our hourly workers
  • Answer incoming payroll questions from employees
  • Run post-payroll reports and work with our finance team as they book payroll and close their monthly books
  • Learn and back-up processing for US payroll (2,000 employees)
  • Assist with Workday releases by learning, testing, and implementing new payroll and time tracking features
  • Assist with developing user procedures, user guides, training materials, and train employees on payroll and time entry as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department
  • Assist and learn with the implementation of new global payroll provider and integration with Workday
We think you'd be great for this role if you have:
  • 5+ years of Payroll/Accounting experience in a large, matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated understanding of full cycle payroll
  • Demonstrated knowledge of tax regulations
  • Understands the high level of confidentiality and sensitivity in processing payroll
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment
  • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure that payroll meets organizational needs and goals
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with global payroll is a plus
  • Experience using Workday is a strong desire
Where:
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is $70,000 and $80,000 USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
